@Aaronontheweb @mjovanovictech Because our main app is really old and complex we could not refactor everything so we decided to do integration tests with test containers and respawn. Worked really well

@Bnomine @mjovanovictech heard of it but haven't used it - I usually have a set of static seed data we populate for each category of test case and operate on that with a minimal amount of db cleanup. It's worked well so far but definitely wouldn't scale to support a much bigger team.

You aren't doing integration testing if you're using an in-memory database. It probably lacks most of the features that your real database has... Why bother? Instead, spin up your database in a container and use that container in your integration tests.

100%, although I still use the in-memory db for just spit testing basic things. While I strongly prefer using TestContainers with the real DB, they introduce two nuisances: 1. Test isolation becomes much more challenging - still doable, but you either give up parallelism or you have to design your arranged test cases in a non-overlapping way 2. It slows down the iteration time in the test suite significantly. Even on a fast computer with an NVMe disk it takes a while to spin up the Postgres / whatever containers and then execute the tests against them - doubly so if you have to disable parallelism on the suite to prevent the issues identified in issue 1. The happy medium I'm moving towards is in-mem for domain-specific tests, TestContainers for a big suite of end 2 end tests.

L'absence de progression du projet de rénovation et de modernisation de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont était déjà inquiétante, là c’est rendu qu’on recule carrément. Hier, on a découvert que le projet est demeuré à la phase de planification, même s’il est prêt à être lancé. C’est une décision qui est POLITIQUE. Parce que dans le budget, on fait référence à bien d’autres projets dans d’autres régions, qui eux, apparaissent dans la phase de réalisation. Les citoyens de l’est de Montréal sont abandonnés, encore une fois. On fait tout simplement passer d’autres projets avant celui-ci pour des raisons POLITIQUES. Le gouvernement doit tenir son engagement et attribuer les sommes nécessaires afin de lancer la phase des travaux préliminaires dès cet été, comme promis, c’est la qualité et l’accès aux soins de santé des citoyens de l’est de Montréal qui sont en jeu. Rappelons que l'urgence de l'hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont est l'une des plus achalandées au pays. Des milliers de citoyens de ma circonscription et de l'est de Montréal s'y font soigner chaque année et la région connait déjà un sous-financement historique. Le ministre devrait laisser tomber son obsession pour la nouvelle structure Santé Québec et se concentrer sur les projets urgents comme l’HMR qui attend depuis trop longtemps et dont les travaux sont plus que nécessaires. Les citoyens de l’est ne sont pas des citoyens de seconde zone.
