Bluebell Fire Final Update - 6:30pm The Bluebell Fire is 100% contained. There are no active flames and crews are in mop up. Crews will continue to monitor the area throughout the night and tomorrow. Trails remain closed. While we only had an evacuation warning today, this is a good time to sign up for emergency alerts if you haven’t already. You can sign up for emergency alerts at bocoalert.org. You can learn more about the options for receiving emergency alerts and information at boulderodm.gov.

Boulder Fire-Rescue crews are responding to the report of a wildfire southwest of Chautauqua. More info to be provided shortly.

Rangers and other personnel are on scene at the Bluebell Fire. Please avoid the Chautauqua area entirely.

Avoid Driving today, Dec. 19 - This is video from  Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Fire Management taken on patrol today, just north of Boulder off North Foothills Hwy. Please do not drive.    On Friday, Dec. 19, we ask that people stay home and off the roads. Wind conditions will be dangerously high, especially in areas west of Broadway in Boulder and along the foothills.   There will be significant debris in the roads, including downed limbs and power lines, and some traffic signals will be out. If you must drive, please drive carefully today.

All Boulder County and City of Boulder open spaces are closed today. It’s forecasted to be very dangerous conditions. See their example from Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance for damage from Wednesday at Betasso. Stay safe.

LAGERMAN TRAILHEAD OPEN: Construction of the trailhead at Lagerman Agricultural Preserve is complete and the parking lot and trail will reopen today at 3pm.

PARK CLOSURE: Heil Valley Ranch is closed due to hazardous conditions. Crews will need to clear blown down trees over the next several days.
