I will only get a 2% raise since I have under 6 years of experience. Meanwhile inflation is running above 5%. I’m grateful for a raise but sure wish it was closer to 5% to restore some of my purchasing power.

Orr discussing the 2% raise for all public education employees. Reminds committee that lawmakers last year committed to a 1% raise every year for classroom teachers. So classroom teachers would get a 3% raise. (I forgot about that, tbh.)
