The technical level of the Zubimendi - Rice double pivot is ridiculously low. This is Mikel Arteta’s recruitment, he constructed this midfield without prioritising technical quality. Arsenal’s midfield needs serious reconstruction, whether by Arteta or a new coach who places greater emphasis on technical quality. One of Rice or Zubimendi has to make way for a true technician, and it should be Zubimendi. At least Rice brings other elite qualities, it’s hard to point to a single standout attribute Zubimendi excels at.

Your Havertz agenda stinks. He missed chances but so did Haaland. Strikers miss chances. However good strikers like Haaland and Havertz get chances and tuck like they both did yesterday. Unlike the Swedish male model we were all hyping for in the summer.

I think Haaland did the smartest thing by trying to get involved with Gabriel instead of Saliba. Saliba is a proper composed and clean defender that rarely gets involved in the argy-bargy. His focus isn’t just about stopping the man but it’s mainly about stopping danger. Whenever Haaland was up against Saliba yesterday, he was calmly dealt with. Gabriel didn’t cover himself in glory. Too often embroiled in the tussle rather than reading the danger IMO. Maybe the game was too emotional. Could be wrong though.

Some things I’ve seen that I wanna push back on: - Martinelli not tracking O’Reilly isn’t a huge error as much as it leads to a goal - Today’s win was defining, more so than the other bad results this season. Because City have also had shit results, but they beat us when it matters, and we never return the favour - Missing chances matters, we don’t create many but you’re still rightly scrutinised when the really big ones come and go
