I just had a very interesting encounter on our campus! ^RJS

We congratulate employers' organisation @VNONCW on its 125th anniversary. President @IngridThijssen was a valued speaker at the opening of our academic year and also an important voice of support against the budget cuts on higher education. ^RJS

This year's anniversary edition of the liberation march was again impressive. Eighty years of freedom is something to be truly grateful for and cannot be taken for granted. It is important that we cherish the value of freedom and pass this on to future generations. ^RJS

The 30% rule is very effective, an independent study for the government shows: it attracts valuable knowledge migrants and has a positive impact on the exchequer and the business climate. We’re happy with the results and hope it inspires our new government seo.nl/publicaties/ku…

Yesterday we had the pleasure to welcome a delegation from our EuroTech Alliance partner EPFL, led by its President @MartinVetterli. Points on the agenda were: the sustainability and start-up agenda. Special attention was paid to cooperation on semicon. ^RJS

It was a great pleasure to welcome the new CEO of @ASMLcompany Christophe Fouquet, only 3 days after his official start. We are looking forward to a deepening of our longstanding and strong cooperation, which will get a new impetus as a result of the Beethoven project. ^RJS

I had the honor on Monday to speak at the 'kathedralenbouwersbijeenkomst' on the future path of Europe, together with Deputy Prime Minister @karienvangennip. My advice: strengthen European economic competitiveness and sovereignty by investing in science and innovation. ^RJS

A delegation from South Korea, led by Dr. Lee Jong-ho, Minister of Science and ICT (MSIT) and consisting of researchers, industry and government officials, visited us both this week and last week. It was a pleasure to welcome them. ^RJS

We are pleased to welcome members of the Counsel of State (@RaadvanState), an initiative of @Brainport_ehv. One of the things we talked about is the importance for the Brainport region to have access to international top talent. ^RJS

It was a real pleasure to be in Brussels and listen to inspiring stories from @SolarEHV and our Go Green office together with policy makers at the Dutch ambassador's residence. We would like to thank @NLinBE for the hospitality.
