FBF - Really proud of of my Son-In Law Kevin today. He got a huge position in a geologist job he’s wanted for quite sometime! His Masters Degree & 9 years experience probably beat out other applicants, I would imagine. Education is so important but you still need to do the footwork after you get your degree. Kevin has paid his dues & done that. Well done Son!

Thank you all so much for the incredible birthday love! I am overwhelmed—in the best way possible. You all know how to make a guy feel loved. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
So here we are: 39 years old today. My final year in my 30s. My 20s were very wild and so unpredictable, but my 30s? A whole different level of chaos, growth, and transformation. I’m not exaggerating when I say it started off with a bang—literally. On the morning of my 30th birthday, I accidentally hit a teenage skateboarder with my car while pulling out of my apartment complex at the time. He thankfully wasn’t seriously injured (at least that’s what he told me), he refused medical help, and walked away. That moment felt like a sign of what was to come—and it delivered.
Over the past decade, I bought a home, faced addiction, endured heartbreak, celebrated big milestones with the band, fell in love again, mourned the loss of my beloved dog, welcomed new puppies, and made the life-changing decision to get sober. I’m now 1 year and over 7 months sober—and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I started a new career, recommitted to my health, and lost a significant amount of weight. For the first time, I’ve truly made my well-being physically and mentally a top priority.
As I look ahead to my 40s, I want this next chapter to be the best yet. I want to put my best foot forward. The past year and a half have been full of huge changes and personal growth. I plan to keep evolving, learning, and becoming better. Today, I feel the healthiest, happiest, and most grounded I’ve ever been. I look better than I have ever looked. I’ve let go of anger, regret, and sadness that weighed me down for years. I’m surrounded by love and filled with hope for the future. Without a doubt I am in my absolute prime.
Of course, life will bring challenges, but I know now that tough times don’t last—and everything truly happens for a reason. Life is short, and I’m determined to live it fully. When my time comes, I want people to remember me as someone who was kind, gave life his all and worked very hard and I stayed real and authentic every step of the way.
Here’s to living with purpose, loving deeply, and laughing often. Live, love, laugh, those are the 3 goals I have.
Happy Thursday, friends.
