Just like it happened pre-Ian’s 2022 landfall, Tampa Bay just experienced a reverse storm surge where much of the water in the bay has been sucked out leaving an exposed bottom of sand, silt and debris. This explains it all.

"Treehouse of Horror" first aired in 1990, so it was not a part of my childhood. That said, in terms of Halloween nostalgia, it's still up there with "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" because I kept watching cartoons well into HS. 😄
