🚨 BREAKING: Former Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan is avoiding prison time and walking away with a $5,000 fine after being convicted of felony obstruction for helping a Mexican migrant evade ICE agents inside a Milwaukee courthouse, and this is exactly why Americans believe the justice system protects the powerful. Federal prosecutors said she violated her judicial oath, but instead of real prison time, the court pointed to her years of public service and otherwise law-abiding life. Normal Americans do not get that kind of soft landing when they obstruct federal law enforcement. A judge, of all people, should know better than anyone that the law is not optional and a courthouse is not a sanctuary hideout. Dugan says she acted for courtroom safety and decorum and plans to appeal, but the message to the public is already ugly: help ICE do its job and you get attacked, help someone evade ICE and the system finds a way to go soft. One set of laws must apply to everyone.
