@JStamnos I mean AR is coming back from injury. I do think he’s good but so far in the playoffs he hasn’t been great. But like I said he’s been injured so can’t really talk bad on him. Rui has been great though, easily been like the Lakers 3rd best player.

Despite it being a close games the Thunder still look like the obvious best team. The Thunder can still function well without Shai, Lakers seem to struggle a lot when LeBron isn’t involved in a play.

Performed way better than Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Literally took the Celtics to 7 with both JB and Tatum playing without his second option. Injured 2023, Injured 2024, and his second option had a blood clot and tore his Achilles. When he’s healthy he’s easily better than Brown or Tatum.

Tbh they only seemed bad because of injuries. What they did badly though was an accumulation of bad drafting or trading the talent they did draft. I think we for sure had a good chance winning in 2022 with Middleton, we had pretty good depth defensively and we took Boston to 7 without Middleton despite Boston being a bad matchup for Giannis. Warriors also didn’t have an answer for Giannis at all. I think the Heat would’ve given us the most problems if anything but as long as the core 3 was healthy I think we beat them.

And if I did foresee a title birth, I don’t think we would’ve won against the opponents. The Bucks FO immediately made bad decisions after the title. I would’ve predicted nothing else.

It was for multiple reasons. Obviously Jrue was big part of those defense but even before they had Jrue Milwaukee was producing the best defenses those years. A big part of it has to do with coaching, Brook Lopez declining, and the team had overall more defensive depth across the board. Now all we have is shooting depth and pretty much nothing more and they liked running shitty zone defense despite the team always being uncoordinated defensively.

I mean yeah I guess because he couldn’t step up and be a second option but the largest part was always injuries. If Middleton never got injured Bucks might’ve won in 2022 and 2023 they probably would’ve beat the Heat. That one injury changed the course of Milwaukee basketball a lot.

I think he’s a better point guard than Rollins and KPJ by far. His chemistry with Giannis is also far better. My problem was more with his shot making and ability to consistently create his own shot. He shot below 40% the last two series he played for the Bucks. I would trade for him if it’s not for much because he is getting old.

@BobbyPinkevich @ringstalk Jrue Holiday is a terrible point guard too. The last thing the Bucks are trying to do right now is tie up money with a guy who won’t stick around. Especially when you consider the fact that we’d have to trade FOR him. It makes zero sense any way you look at it.

Middleton was twice the player Jrue was he was just injured and at the time they traded Jrue you couldn’t really trade Middleton for another star. Jrue was great for us but he was horrible offensively against the Celtics in 2022 and against the Heat in 2023 in which he also couldn’t defend Jimmy at all.

I mean I see some teams willing to give him around $15 mil a year. We’ve been employing Kuzma for that same price and Jrue gives like 3 times the impact. So it doesn’t sound so bad. It’s just KPJ is a terrible point guard. As a shooting guard I think he could be a starter but we have Rollins and he has much more upside and then we also have AJ and Cormac as backup guards and they’re greasy as well and fit better.

@svgenthusiast @ringstalk I mean he was inefficient and terrible on offense but Jrue is a much better playmaker and efficient passer while also being the smarter and better defender. KPJ is good on defense but he doesn’t play as smart and he can’t really lockdown like Jrue or defend positions 1-5 as well.

The pacers team that he went against that year was far worse than the one in 2025. Dame also had Khris Middleton who was averaging 25 points a game. Giannis had GTJ as his second option that series and he didn’t even start most of the games I think. It’s really not comparable even though I have a lot of respect for Dame.
