Couple of days back, my Head of Sales, Greg came to my desk and said “Bobby, let’s go to Consensus Miami next week and meet some of our clients”. He probably expected me to be ambivalent about the idea since it’s so last minute, but I said “Let’s go together” immediately! A few hours later we booked our flights, hotels and conference tickets. If you are in Miami next week, let me know. Would love to say hi to you. Bear market conferences are the best place to build connections with industry folks!

Laugh all we want about Justin Sun and Tron, but how is it that Tron is leading all other chains in crypto card transactions? We clearly live in an X echo chamber where we don't hear much about Tron here. What is it that they are doing right?

Crypto card spending is the next big trend: Crypto card spending volume has surged +500% since September 2024, now running at $600 million per month. As a result, stablecoin-linked payment cards are now one of the fastest growing businesses on the blockchain, with 90% of transactions captured by Visa, $V. Visa's strategy has centered around partnering with emerging infrastructure providers which reduces reliance on traditional sponsor banks. The growth comes amid the launch of Jupiter Global which returns 4-10% cash back to crypto cards and has seen +660% MoM volume growth in April. Crypto card adoption is growing.

AI is most definitely accelerating all the hacks and compromises that we are seeing this year. AI is an arms race, you have no option but to use it when your opponent uses it. But it gets harder to defend. Attackers just need to be right once, but defenders need to be right every time
