Just to put this out there because a lot of people are reacting without actually reading Tsujimoto’s statement. This is not the usual shareholder line of “Mega Man is very important to us, we’re thinking about what to do.” He clearly states that he wants to elevate Mega Man (along with DMC and Ace Attorney) into core IP on the same level as Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter. And to get there, he is pushing Capcom to expand their entire software pipeline with more new games, more ports, more remakes and remasters for these three IP specifically. This will be supported by a major increase in development capacity, including a new building scheduled to open in 2027.
