Dear Parents, In the lead-up to the Easter holidays, it is important to raise awareness among our children about their safety in the face of the real dangers they may encounter, including running away, abuse, and all forms of violence that are prevalent in our society. Today, we can no longer turn a blind eye. Cases of abuse and sexual violence against children are on the rise, and no community is spared. The murder of 11year-old Divine Mbarga in Yaoundé is a wake-up call for all of us, and i encourage you to: - Maintain an open and caring dialogue with your children, without judgment or taboos. - Be attentive to changes in your child's behavior (isolation, aggression, unusual silence). - Create a climate of trust where children feel free to express themselves (no secrets from adults) - Teach children to say no to gifts from strangers - Teach children not to visit their friends, uncles, or aunts without your permission - Make your children aware of outdoor dangers (when walking alone or late at night) without frightening them, but by empowering them. Note: A child who is listened to, guided, and loved is better protected. No problem should force a young person to run away or remain silent in the face of violence. Together, we have a duty to ensure their safety, well-being, and future. Dear parents/Guidance , let's remain united, attentive, and committed. #Notorape #Notopedophile #NoToChildAbuse
