Another closely fought contest saw the visting Boldon side 4-3 up going into the 3rd round. Further frame wins for John Kilner and Boldon's hat-trick hero Keith Whalen saw them over the finish line 6 frames to 4. Nice work Keith! (and the Bs) 💪🦁🏆🎱🏏👍

... Ian Robson's Boldon side on the brink of victory, only to lose the final 2 frames and see the match slip through their fingers. Green Baize taking the tie 6-5. Bad luck chaps. Over at Lookout, John Groombridge and the Bs took on the host's A team.

Tonight is cup night for @BoldonCC pool teams. The As are at home to Green Baize Bs in the Andy Brown memorial cup. Meantime, the B team travel to take on Lookout A in the Peter Staddon memorial Cup. More tomorrow morning! 🎱🦁🏆

Yep, we're covering the game on Sky and we'd love you to come along and sample the atmosphere (whichever colours you pin to your mast!), and perhaps a beer or 2 🍺🍺 Kick off is noon, and we'll be opening up early at 11am - we'd love to see you down at the Club. 🔴⚪️⚫️⚪️⚽️

This coming Sunday 22nd March sees the Red & Whites take the short hop up the road to take on their dear neighbours Newcastle United. If you haven't got a ticket for the match, then here at @BoldonCC, we've got the next best thing - a box seat to watch the game (FOC) on the TV!

Over at Buzzers, John Groombridge & the Bs were involved in a see-saw match as they took a slender 3-2 advantage into the doubles. With honours even in those doubles frames, the singles outcomes went back & forth with the result ended - like their A team buddies, a 6-all tie.

... Sheer grit and determination shone through, as the final 3 frames went the way of Robson's side with the last/crucial frame being taken by Aaron Kirkbride ... who capped off an excellent personal evening with 3 from 3 💪. Final score, 6 apiece.
