I don't Think you are wrong! I came from a UCC church in maine turned non-denom when CA was in The jesus Revolution (it was charismatic). Trawled (🤣😅 supposed to be travelled but I Think That's more fun - we trawled for sinners) around The country with a gospel group, did time in a pentecostal church, married a lutheran minister 🤨, Then went back to non-denom. The charismatics I know were faithful in orderly worship, The pentecostals mostly so too back Then but I guess something happened They started speaking in tongues with no interpretation and knocking people down (a couple tried on me but I stood my ground). I'm all for unleashing of the Holy Spirit and I have seen it but not all the chaos. Sometimes I like to imagine What the New Earth and Heaven will be.
