20.01.26 Another fantastic session on Tuesday with seniors preparing for our first competition at RAST 2026, and juniors developing skills on our flight simulators. Da Iawn pawb!

Our junior cadets are nearing the end of their ‘First Class’ learning 🙌🏽. Senior cadets are training hard for the units first ever RAST competition. Well done to all for such dedication and commitment 🫡.

06.01.26 A productive first session back saw students continue their hard work towards their First Class badges and meticulous practice of a drill sequence during breakout sessions led by senior NCOs showed strong teamwork and collaboration. Da Iawn pawb! 🫡

16.12.25 We also celebrated WO Ward. Wishing him a very happy retirement. Very well deserved after 26 years at Bishop and an outstanding School Staff Instructor at CCF since September 2024. It is clear to see the impact he has had on students and cadets! Thank you Mr Ward! 🎈🎊

16.12.25 We celebrated students receiving their 'ATP Wings' badges to mark the completion of their blue Aviation Training Package. Dai Iawn to L/Cpl Emily, Cpl Evie, L/Cpl Georgina, Honey, Hyemin, and Cpl Zachary! An exciting new addition to cadet jumpers (not Brassards)! 🛩️🫡

Our Annual Carol Service will take place at Llandaff Cathedral on Thursday 11th December 2025 at 7.00pm. Families (past and present) as well as friends of the school are welcome to attend

25.11.25 Another enjoyable session saw first years learning about radio communications and security; whilst second years refined drill skills and continued flight simulator training (used to prepare cadets for actual flight experiences!)

Six cadets took to the skies yesterday for their first flying experience at @MODStAthan, an integral part of the cadet experience. Emily, Evie, Georgina, Honey, Hyemin and Zach had the opportunity to fly in a Grob Tutor and optimal weather conditions meant aerobatic manoeuvres!🛩️

Storm Claudia couldn’t keep us away from attending the gun salute at Cardiff Bay today. Happy Birthday, Your Majesty 🎂🫡.

It was a privilege to once again pay our respects at school and local services, remembering the sacrifice that was made by so many for our freedom - Hedd perffaith hedd. 'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. #WeWillRememberThem

Cyber badges and promotions! Congratulations Emily, Grace, Eloise, Ivan, Georgina and Hyemin on promotions to L/Cpl; Zach, Evie, Eira and Arun to Cpl; Milesh and Anwen to Sgt and our first Flt Sgt, Oli! You have all shown dedication, integrity and teamwork. Da Iawn!

Our last session before half term saw students compete in our inter-flight competition. RAF specialist quizzes; drill; and command tasks focusing on non-verbal communication skills challenged cadets to support each other to succeed in these areas. Da Iawn pawb!

4th week into the new term and our junior cadets are already demonstrating strong leadership skills. Our senior cadets continue to expand knowledge of drill and start their ‘Leading Cadet’ classification 🫡 .

A great first CCF session back after the summer break. We welcomed many new cadets to the unit. Our senior cadets highlighted some of the success stories from last year before teaching the new cohort some basic static drill movements 🫡

3rd and final CCF camp this summer. NASC (National Air & Space Camp) hosted 2 of our cadets last month. More badges, experience and memories gained 🧑‍🚀✈️🤖💻.

Congratulations to our very first winner of the ‘Trenchard prize for Combined Cadet Force’, L/Cpl Upadhyay. He couldn’t attend awards evening to receive his prize in person as he was representing our CCF unit at RAF Halton. Keep up the great work 👏🏼.
