My realistic wish is that the story dwells more about the war, its always a part of the series but I think the last two series have put it in a secondary aspect, it would be nice to have the war be the main aspect again

If it’s just four characters in S3, that’s totally fine.
Six characters in six months was really cool to have, but it was evidently too much. The balance, trailers, VFX, everything seemed to suffer due to it.
Four characters in that span is way healthier for everyone I think.

...I feel like the similar art styles make the comparisons inevitable.
Like, Game Freak doesn't own the concept of a legendary/divine whale creature...
