Eastland advances the @IHSA_IL Class 1A State Finals in Champaign! Super-Sectional plaque presentation 🏀🏆

On March 7, 2006, IHSA referee David Hasley worked the Class A Super-Sectional at Western Hall between Macomb and Riverton. 20 years later, Hasley presented the official game ball prior to the WIU Super-Sectional featuring Tremont and Eastland.

20 Years Ago Today On March 7, 2006, Macomb defeated Riverton 44–29 in the #IHSA Class A Super-Sectional at Western Hall to advance to the state finals in Peoria. In front of 4,700+, Dustin Bainter scored 18 and Matt Buren added 15 as the Bombers improved to 29–1 🏀🔥

The first Boys Basketball Super-Sectional at Western Hall since 2009 is now set. Tremont & Eastland will meet Monday at 7:00 PM at Western Hall on the campus of Western Illinois University. The winner advances to the IHSA Class 1A Final Four in Champaign 🏀

25 Years Ago Today! Macomb Bombers advanced to the #IHSA Class A Elite 8 with a 48–46 win over defending state champion Pleasant Plains in the Western Hall Super-Sectional earning a trip to the state finals in Peoria. 🏀 #MAC185

20 years ago this week (March 3, 2006), Macomb Basketball defeated Nauvoo 48-44 to win the #IHSA Class A Lewistown Sectional. Dustin Bainter had 23 pts, 6 reb. Macomb advanced to Western Hall to face Riverton on March 7, 2006 🏀

Macomb High School is being recognized in the official program at the IHSA State Basketball Finals for maintaining a 3.0+ team GPA during the 2024–2025 seasons. GREAT WORK MAC185!
