@TheUCS473 The French spend less but have more capability & no dependence on US kit, that needs looking at.

2/2 5️⃣ Defence spending according to IFS was 4.3% 6️⃣ On the downside women were restricted to the WRAC and would be discharged if pregnant. Being gay would get you kicked out. The decline has been sharp. How does an army's capability rot? Gradually then suddenly.

1/2 In 1985👇 1️⃣ Army was ~160000 strong. 55000 in BAOR. 2️⃣ TA strength was ~71000 with plans to enlarge to 86000 by 1990. 3️⃣ Warrior, Challenger and MLRS entering service with a new rifle (ok it was SA80A1). 4️⃣ Bagnall's doctrine was changing how the army would fight.

Plenty of amateur statistic gurus in the trade who publish the ‘bleeding obvious’ Ad Nauseum that TfL publish anyhow! How about they find the numbers on how many cabs pass through the feeder park as opposed to the PH AVA? Average wait time, Etc?

@GaryLDN @PaulParklane I have joint Jump, it is surely what the term EHailing is meant to be. Research shows that is original view of TfL then the corporate $ arrived enabling PH to so do. Jump is simple to use, intuitive and a real add on to your work opportunities, well done the designers.

@GaryLDN @PaulParklane @blackcab66 Correct, plenty of shelter barristers & motor insurance experts out there. There are in my view two options: 1. Stay off the road & claim loss of earnings (if you can stand that). 2. Have a third party handle your claim, replacement cab etc. Tread warily of course.

Waiting for third party claim payouts is the issue. Even when dealing with the bus companies with cut and dry non faults it can take over 6 months. Nothing the fleets can do. Most of it is bureaucratic bullshit. Try sorting it out yourself and you'll be off the road for much longer, at least there's company's willing to take on the risk of buying hire vehicles us drivers can jump straight into. Not every claim pays out to the hire firm, and they take that on the chin, so the ones that do need to cover the ones that don't. You'd think some people commenting on the issue who run businesses would understand, but instead they've latched onto a rumour to portray the hire firms as the bad guys, just to appease their minions.

Latest meltdown is about credit hire, there is various other options but none of them get you back to work quickly and insurers sit on claims for months.. its a terrible dilemna but be careful who you listen too! Ive never see a driver actually have to pay for it ever...
