Practice stations to prepare for small group rotations. They did great! We had “getting to know you” bingo, concentration place value, & a self check riddle to review addition & subtraction. @WarnerCFISD
Another amazing training with Texas Wildlife Association, but this time at John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center. We met other amazing teachers and had a great lunch! SO thankful for awesome friendships! @Bone_4th Thanks for always going with me!
Had some fun with our mechanical energy stations. A student built something out of legos to model mechanical energy with a turning handle. I love when they get so excited about their learning that they have to go home and do more! 🥰@WarnerCFISD
Chai tea from a co-worker and pumpkin bread from a student. Going to be a great day! I feel so loved! My sweet teaching partner also brought me a smoothie the other day that was delicious! So thankful for these sweet people in my life!
In 4th grade, we looked at how thermal energy allows substances to spread faster and allows the tea to mix evenly. The ice-cold water didn't allow the substances to spread. Many adults were also excited to learn this today!
We turned our nature walk into a word wall of structures and functions. This really helped them when they completed their functions spinner. @WarnerCFISD@CFISDScience
On our nature walk, we found some really cool structures of plants. We added them to our word wall and wrote about the functions of those structures.Ask your kids to name some structures & functions of plants. We found tendrils, thorns, seeds, flowers, roots, & more. @WarnerCFISD
I 💜 that our APs are doing good office visits! As a child, I remember going to the office for a good visit & helping the principal with a special task. This sweet girl is a hard working child. She has a heart of gold and helps so many other students too. @WarnerCFISD
The first week of school, we learned about science safety including animal safety. Reviewing what they learned by checking out an SRC animal. They have loved it and are doing such a great job caring for them and following safety guidelines. @WarnerCFISD@CFISDScience
Today we added worms to our compost! The students looked at them under the smartscope and really enjoyed that. We also observed fast plant seeds today, sprouting radish seeds, and reviewed our vocabulary words from our word wall. Such a fun day! @WarnerCFISD
