Proposal: Reallocation of 19 Million BONE for Shibarium’s Growth and Governance A single address currently holds 19 million BONE, originally intended for validator node and voting rewards in Shibarium’s ecosystem. To optimize the use of these tokens and drive Shibarium’s long-term success, we propose a reallocation strategy that balances validator incentives, community rewards, and developer/marketing initiatives. This proposal, while initially suited for LEASH DAO, should be decided by BONE holders, as it directly impacts BONE’s role and Shibarium’s future. Proposed Allocation of 19 Million BONE 1. Validator and Voting Rewards (9 Million BONE) - Allocate 9 million BONE to fund validator node rewards and voting incentives. This amount is sufficient to sustain operations for an extended period. - Since validator node applications are not currently open, voting rewards can be reduced by 60–80%, At the same time, ensure network security. This adjustment maintains attractive, loss-free staking incentives for BONE holders while preserving token supply for other priorities. 2. Developer and Marketing Fund (10 Million BONE) - Dedicate 10 million BONE to a Shibarium developer support and marketing fund, managed by Shib DAO. - These funds will support innovative projects, enhance Shibarium’s infrastructure, and drive marketing campaigns to increase adoption and visibility. Security and Governance Measures - Multi-Signature Wallet Management: Given past incidents of multi-signature wallet breaches, include highly trusted individuals or community-elected validators to enhance security. - Community Oversight: Introduce a transparent process for fund allocation, with regular updates and community input to maintain trust and accountability. Rationale for BONE Holder Governance While this proposal could be initiated in LEASH DAO, the allocation of 19 million BONE significantly impacts BONE’s utility and Shibarium’s ecosystem. Rationale for Integration Popular tokens like PEPE and FLOKI have cultivated strong communities and significant market traction. Integrating these tokens into Shibarium would attract their user bases, increase transaction volume, and enhance Shibarium’s visibility in the broader crypto ecosystem. The current process of onboarding tokens, which often involves filling out forms, creates unnecessary friction for projects and developers. A streamlined, permissionless, or automated process would make Shibarium a more attractive destination for cross-chain projects, fostering inclusivity and growth. Reducing Shibarium Bridge Transaction Time The Shibarium bridge serves as a critical component in facilitating seamless asset transfers within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, enhancing interoperability and user experience. However, the current transaction processing time for bridging assets is a point of concern for users seeking faster and more efficient operations. To address this, I propose optimizing the Shibarium bridge to reduce transaction times by approximately one minute. This reduction in bridging time will significantly improve user satisfaction, streamline cross-chain interactions, and strengthen Shibarium’s position as a competitive Layer-2 solution.
