rust is common on Alliums, reduces yields, no cure, however garlic does look very spindly anyway, I wonder if compost short of nutrients or possibly poor drainage, may be pre-winter planting was not early enough late autumn better ie October

@FlowerdewBob my first attempt at growing garlic seems to be going downhill fast. Planted pre winter and looked great until the rust spots appeared. Are they finished or should I persevere? Grown on the roof of our shed. #Edinburgh
