@OccultusG83119 Historically Bengali men used to wear only dhoti and Arna , but at Mughal period time Persian,afgans, north indians used to wear a shirt type thing over upper part at sabha and we adopted it ,because they were mostly from Punjab region that's why Bengalis started calling Panjabi.
