Alexander Isak situation as of Thursday night.🇸🇪
- Nick Woltemade is an Isak replacement in terms of profile, but Newcastle still want another attacker to fill the gap left by Callum Wilson. Yoane Wissa remains a leading name. Jørgen Strand Larsen expected to stay at Wolves.
- Real sense of satisfaction within Newcastle at landing Woltemade quickly. Bayern had tried for much of the summer but not prepared to go to Newcastle's €80m package.
- Understand Liverpool will not bid against themselves, or go close to £150m. They will remain disciplined given they are Isak's only suitor. If Newcastle give Liverpool encouragement, talks will continue with a fresh bid then anticipated.
- Liverpool don't view their first £110m rejected bid as 'low' despite some Newcastle sources seeing it this way.
- Isak is still intent on leaving before the window shuts. Newcastle aware he doesn't plan to reintegrate or engage on a new deal. Understand this won't change unless Liverpool inform Isak a transfer is not possible.

@TaylorandPayne @PodontheTyne I’d really like to see the subscription money go towards creating a TV documentary series where you go searching Europe for Phillipe Albert, but I never actually get to see the documentary .

We are currently working on launching a subscription service for additional @PodontheTyne content. What would you like to see/hear as part of our subscription offer? Let us know 👌🏻 #NUFC

My tweet about @David_Ornstein last night was, on reflection, unreasonable and based in not much other than frustration and (ironically) sensationalism.
I’ve subsequently chatted at length to David offline, and he’s given me a real insight into his work and his meticulous methodology, and in turn I’ve apologised.
He hasn’t told or even asked me to write this, but it seems fair given the original tweet was on the timeline. A rare Toon Polls misstep 😂 #NUFC

@ESPNUK Don't forget the authorities prevented Arsenal from competing in round 2 but let Newcastle compete meaning they had an extra game to get used to the ball! I think the extra game also meant Newcastle had more suspensions for their players meaning they will be fresh for leg 2.

The fantastic @WATERSHED_i team nail it yet again. Mankind is about to eat itself and guess who's to blame?

@mandm hi my order was out for delivery on the 6th Jan but was updated the same day to say it had been delayed and since then there has been no delivery or update to the tracking. Can I talk to someone about a refund please.

@DaleJohnsonESPN @DanColes91 @BenKyber Then check if player is active on release of pass. Clearly not in this case (unlike the Salah goal v wolves) 3rd is it a deliberate play. I think 99% of people would say yes. And extra bonus is the further touch by a Forest player which i know is irrelevant.
English

@DaleJohnsonESPN @DanColes91 @BenKyber For me, if ref has to look at monitor it's a subjective decision whether the play is deliberate or not, so ref should only get involved if it's clear and obvious error. Clearly this isn't clear and obvious. So Iino original decision should stand.
English

See you on Monday for some lovely "deliberate play" action.

Why’s that offside @DaleJohnsonESPN
English

@OptaAnalyst Further proof that the other top teams get more injury time when they need it and Newcastle are robbed when looking for a winner late on.

@danielstorey85 It may well turn out to be short sighted but both nufc and mufc fans have protested against their former/current owners for years and in the main have been told they should be grateful for what they have by people who now what them to protest against what fans deem the solution.
English

@danielstorey85 I think the 2 things are different, I think the above was used when individuals tell fans they should be outraged by these takeovers of their clubs. Fans of nufc were in the majority supportive of the takeover but we're told they had no morals and should protest against them.

@FabrizioRomano Of course he's not 5th choice, that's Phil Jones
