I couldn’t have overcome the things I’ve faced in my life without God’s help. It’s just not possible, so I can’t run for governor without talking about how faith has impacted my life.

I’m humbled to have Attorney General @ChrisCarr_Ga's endorsement and grateful for his confidence in our campaign! No one understands what our state needs to continue moving forward better than Chris. He’s been a great leader for Georgia, and his support means a great deal to me.

Where I grew up in the projects, law enforcement was the difference between safety and chaos. I’ll always back law enforcement, and when I’m governor I’ll do everything I can to make sure they have support and resources. Grateful to have endorsements from Coweta County Sheriff Lenn Wood, Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce, Pickens County Sheriff Donnie Craig, and Rabun County Sheriff Mark Gerrells!

THE CHURCH FATHER WHO WROTE THIS IN 107 AD AND IT SILENCES EVERY PROTESTANT ARGUMENT St. Ignatius of Antioch was a student of the Apostle John. He was arrested and sent to Rome to be eaten by lions. On the way, he wrote seven letters. In 107 AD, within living memory of the Apostles, he wrote: “Where the bishop is, there let the multitude of believers be; even as where Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church.” (Letter to the Smyrnaeans, 8:2) This is the first recorded use of the term “Catholic Church” and it comes from a man who personally knew the Apostle who leaned on Jesus’ chest at the Last Supper. He also wrote: “Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions… They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ.” Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The Catholic Church by name. Obedience to bishops in apostolic succession. 107 AD. Not the Council of Trent. Not the Middle Ages. The next time someone tells you the Catholic Church invented these doctrines centuries later, show them Ignatius. He wrote this on the way to die for it. Who will share this?

People asking my thoughts on Ryan Hybl leaving OU to go to Georgia Tech. First off, I haven’t reported on this story at all, and honestly don’t want to, because I have huge respect for all parties involved. But I have heard multiple sides of the story from multiple people that know what they are talking about, so here’s what I think went down, and y’all can take it or leave it: (Again, this is just my opinion based on conversations I’ve had with people in the golf world. Who knows, maybe none of this is factual.) In November, legendary coach, Bruce Heppler, announces his retirement from Georgia Tech after 31 years. In February, legendary coach, Chris Haack announced his retirement from the University of Georgia, where Hybl played. Georgia would’ve been Hybl’s dream job, but Georgia knew they didn’t want to pay a golf coach what Hybl was worth, so they never even reached out to Hybl, which is a complete mistake by Georgia. Not only is there a chance Hybl might’ve taken the Georgia job for less money than they thought, there’s also a chance Hybl took Georgia’s lack of interest as a slap in the face. Georgia Tech comes in and offers Hybl way more money than he’s making at OU (some say double his salary at OU, we will see). This also gave Hybl a chance to move back to his home state of Georgia. And maybe most importantly knowing how competitive Hybl is, this gave him an opportunity to stick it to Georgia who never even reached out. The rumors of OU cutting Hybl’s salary in half were bogus. Even Hybl said in his letter that Denny/OU did everything to try to keep his family in Norman. And there’s a chance Hybl didn’t care about the money, and just wanted to go back home to his home state regardless of money. But there’s also a chance, that if GT DID offer Hybl $600,000-$650,000 a year, that OU didn’t want to pay Hybl $750,000 a year to keep him. Again, those numbers are just going off of the “GT offered Hybl double his salary” rumors. Just using that as an example of what could have happened. Those figures could be way off, I have to clue. Either way, it’s not the best look for a new athletic director at OU to lose who a lot of people consider the best coach in the sport, regardless of circumstances. HOWEVER, Johnathan Moore is a good coach, and I think he will do a good job. It’s just tough following the best coach in program history. It’s weird: Now you will have Hybl coaching for the school he played for’s biggest rival. And you will have Moore coaching for the school he played for’s biggest rival. All in all, I wish nothing but the best for Coach Hybl, and OU fans should too. He turned a program that was dead into a national powerhouse, and now he gets to go back home to his home state. It doesn’t get much better than that. Not sure we will ever again see a bigger shake up than this in college golf. And that’s because Hybl is that good. Georgia Tech should be over the moon, because they are about to have major success.

When I say I’m going to do something, you can take it to the bank. I will cut your property taxes, slash the income tax by 50% in the first four years and have a path to eliminate it within eight, and make Georgia the most affordable state in America. I will back the men and women of law enforcement 100%. That means giving them the resources they need, tackling the mental health crisis in our jails, enforcing the law, and making Georgia the worst place to be a criminal. I will get the cost of healthcare down. The feds aren’t going to solve healthcare in our lifetimes – I will in Georgia. If I don’t, I won’t run again. And if you’re sick and tired of career politicians asking you for a promotion after years of failing to get the job done, I’m asking for your vote on June 16th.

Rape victims are often accused of adultery under Sharia law if they report being raped by married Muslim men. Here is a shocking example: A 13-year-old girl in Somalia was raped by a married Muslim man. Instead of punishing the rapist, an Islamic Sharia court sentenced the little girl to death. The Muslim rapist accused her of “seducing” him by appearing in public, and the court agreed — convicting her of adultery. Hundreds of Muslim men gathered to stone her to death as an offering to Allah. They laughed, cheered and shouted “Allahu Akbar” as she screamed in agony until her last breath. Not one man stepped forward to save the 13-year-old rape victim. Everyone in the village heard her cries for help before the execution. Instead of intervening, they tied her hands behind her back and chained her feet. The local imam directed the men to dig a hole and bury her up to her waist so she could not move or dodge the stones aimed at her head. For hours before and during the stoning she begged for mercy, looking toward her neighbors, her father, and every Muslim man taking part. Until her final breath she cried out, but no one rescued her. Of the hundreds of men present, none showed compassion. The participants gladly joined this Islamic act of worship, ignoring her pleas and rejoicing with “Allahu Akbar” while brutally killing her. This is not an isolated barbaric act. This is Sharia law in practice — where the victim is punished and the rapist protected if he is married. Not all cultures are equal. Some protect the innocent. Islam punishes the raped girl and calls it justice. The West keeps importing this ideology while pretending it is compatible with our values. It is not. Share this. The world must see the true face of Sharia and stop the denial.

James Chapter 1, Verse 27 calls on us to care “for orphans and widows in their distress.” FaithBridge is the largest Christ-centered adoption agency in Georgia. Thousands of foster kids have gone through Christian homes since its creation, with hundreds of them being adopted. Here’s the story of how I became involved in it.
