A mutual messaged me and so I looked into this--so far as I personally can tell, Mamdani's parents (Muslim dad and Hindu mom) seem like they were really just secular leftists like him, and I suspect that any affiliation he has to Islam is just an ethnic affiliation.

“Stalin is worse than Hitler” I do not believe this. I do not. Had Hitler not been stopped, the death toll would have dwarfed anything Stalin did. Take a look at his Lebensraum plan. What that entails. What he had planned. I am thankful Hitler was stopped.

It is simply not possible to fix nutritional inequality by opening a grocery store in deprived areas. It just doesn’t work. In fact, low-income households (less than $25k/year) are actively willing to pay *more* for sugar and saturated fats than healthy food.

I keep seeing stuff about how highly educated or ambitious women are intimidating to men and it just….isnt true? I’ve done like 4 studies on this and every time men view it as a neutral or positive. The issue with these women is almost always something else.
