@Sykii_ @Diablo876 @RyanSul79277923 @AnsonexDL you're gonna make it man you're gonna be a top player one day just keep grinding
English

@Diablo876 @RyanSul79277923 @AnsonexDL im just explaining what do I consider this game to be a flop, if this game does not reach CCU levels of those 4 games, why would u play it over the others
English

There’s literally nothing to do in this game but grind ranked and some people still think it’s gonna flop
Deadlock Archive@DeadlockArchive
Deadlock has maintained a steady player count since the release of 'Old Gods, New Blood'
English

@GangstalkingCat @NotslorNY @denjiest this did happen although the guy she said it to wasn't the reason she was fired and actually tried to help her keep her internship iirc
English

i honestly don’t think she should’ve lost her job over that
weather@dsxf234161
i think shes doing alright
English

@ktgmsosu @CodependenceX ultimately it literally doesnt matter though and comparing these games is really stupid especially because gd isnt even really considered a rhythm game. They're entirely different genres so no shit theres very little to no overlap
English

@ktgmsosu @CodependenceX not to mention this is without any mental stack from having to aim so realistically it would be lower
English

@not_coddx this was technically my first platform fighter if u dont count smash games as a kid (never really competed) and I picked it up just fine
English

lowk NOT beginner friendly at all. i was fine since i play ultimate and was able to adapt but if this is your first platform fighter you are FUCKED

Unpopular opinions on Rivals 1?
English

@Booketsss @sampierat @hibachidefect This question is literally just the classic billion lions vs every pokemon ragebait question but with spikes I’m not doing this anymore.
English

@MissPrtiii @sampierat @hibachidefect at the absolute worst you lose like a couple hours in the demon list example when u die vs at worst like 30 years in the single spikes example no ones saying u get a single attempt to do it you just need to do it in a row at some point in your life
English

@Booketsss @sampierat @hibachidefect That’s still only one in a million compared to the every single spike you’d die to atleast once in the list demon gauntlet
English

@MissPrtiii @sampierat @hibachidefect yeah fs lol I don't think anyone would want to do either but im just tryna point out how much repetition can drastically increase difficulty. Like if you're 99.9999% consistent at hitting single spike jumps you'd still miss on average every million spikes
English

@Booketsss @sampierat @hibachidefect both seem miserable, i dont have a graph for spikes here but it definitely just rounds out at a certain point
English

@MissPrtiii @sampierat @hibachidefect so when is that point? do you think clearing a million spikes is as difficult as clearing a billion spikes for example
English

@Booketsss @sampierat @hibachidefect i think with gd levels the amount of time for a level stops corresponding with difficulty after a certain point, since we are looking at both of these like they are both equally possible its pretty easy to say that clearing a billion spikes would be easier here
English

@MissPrtiii @sampierat @hibachidefect think about it this way, imagine you had to go 30 years hiking a km a day without tripping a single time. Hiking one km without tripping one time is not difficult but now try doing it without tripping a single time for 30 years. that is a monumentally difficult task
English

@sampierat @hibachidefect sure, but thats not difficulty. you could get flattened by a bus with no warning after living for 30 years that doesnt mean crossing the road is this monumental challenge that means you got unlucky.
English

@RynnyRyn @SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon of course, at no point did I say it didn't there's just less which again, is not that big of a deal because tournament turnout is much higher
English

@Booketsss @SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon r2 has diehard r2 players. even more than r1 had, even if theyre not the same players
English

these arent amazing numbers for rivals 2 ngl
Blair Nurse Project 💜@SlashNurse
People will watch Rivals 2 gets 100s of entrants at majors and 30-80 entrants at weekly events and tell you the game is on deaths door. The vast majority of the fgc would die for those numbers. It might look a bit different in the future but I don't think rivals is going anywhere
English

@RynnyRyn @SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon which I would still personally define as successful it's just a different kind of success
English

@RynnyRyn @SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon that's kind of the crux of my argument here is that rivals 2 did a good job getting players from other platform fighters but those players are not as die hard for the game as r1 players are for r1 which leads to what we're seeing with high entrant rates but lower daily players
English

@SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon again I think both games are successful its just what you prioritize more. R2 is more accessible to other platform fighter players which is why that discrepancy between daily avg players and something like coinbox entrants exists. Not a bad thing just a different form of success
English

@SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon from that second peak to the last peak is season 8 btw this is what I was referencing

English

@SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon yeah now it does, but you do realise no one is arguing about how alive it is now right they're comparing rivals 2s current playerbase to rivals 1s playerbase before 2 came out. during season 8 the game was consistently hitting 800-1000 avg daily players
English

@Booketsss @kawaiiempoleon Rivals 2 has double the average playercount and higher tournaments tournout. Im not flip-flopping its ahead on both fronts
English

@SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon I think both games are successful in it's own right and you can make an argument for which game was more "successful" by changing the parameters around to gerrymander whatever outcome you want
English

@SlashNurse @kawaiiempoleon how do you define success? Is it by daily average players or tournament entrants? You keep flip flopping and that distinction matters because sure rivals 2 has a generally bigger entrant turnout than rivals 1 did at its peak (not counting covid cuz duh) but less average players
