@silencedrowns I started cosplaying when I was 18. Now I'm 62 and will keep going until I go off into the unknown.

what I’ve noticed with cosplay age discourse is that it’s like... teens and early twenties are considered the “standard”, late 20s and early 30s is “pushing it”, giant void of “ew wtf”, grandparent age? it’s suddenly the coolest of all cosplay ages

Working on cosplay in your 20s: this is great, I have so much energy, time to chug coffee and pierce the heavens!! Working on cosplay in your 30s: I’m 5 minutes in and my back hurts like a mother, I want to keel over.
