@shogunfi is building the rails to connect all assets with all primitives across all ecosystems. Problem: trading across chains comes with high friction and more surface areas for attacks. Traders need to manage different wallets, gas tokens, bridges, and have specalized knowledge of how these eocystems work, exposing a large surface area for user-errors that result in lost funds or suboptimical trades. Solution: one-click trading through the use of intent solvers who compete to provide the solution with the highest aggregate TEV, a measurement of surplus between the amount a trader requested (limit price) and the actual amount received. Shogun is an intent-centric execution layer that uses solvers to look across blockchains to find TEV, trader extractable value, a measurement of surplus between the amount a trader requested (limit price) and the actual amount received. Traders on Shogun initiate gas-less trades on their given L1/rollup of choice, regardless of which chain the trade will execute. These trades are batched and given to solvers, who compete to provide the batch settlement solution with the highest aggregate TEV. Now, traders can trade assets across chains without worrying about wallets, bridges, gas tokens, and the associated risks. Shogun’s intents-centric execution layer creates a off-chain mempool with signed intents from all supported chains. Off-chain solvers then compete to provide coincidence of wants matching (P2P), working to maximize the trader surplus between how much the user requested vs. received (trader extractable value). These orders do not incur any slippage, price impact, nor MEV as they are send/transfer transactions rather than swaps in an AMM. TLDR Shogun gives traders UX of a centralized exchange with all the benefits and transparency of DeFi.
