I did some onchain sleuthing on the giga whale that topblasted $745k into $FRED, accumulating 7% of supply: The Wallet: Ah7SnagSabPNPvkcciYwqqyCR1ymMVW3C9tFvJea1kzV This wallet also then proceeded to topblast both $PNUT and $OPK, both of which are coins that were tweeted by @elonmusk: - the wallet topblasted almost $1mil into $PNUT to accumulate 1% of the supply, - and topblasted another $245k into $OPK to own 8.43% of the supply. Initially there was some talk amongst degens that this wallet could be Elon musk himself, which got me interested, but after some sleuthing the only conclusion i could come to is that it's most likely an institutional entity betting on the coins bullposted by Elon. Proof: platform.arkhamintelligence.com/tracer/347bd80… The wallet that funded Ah7...kzV has $50m worth of SOL in it, and it's not a CEX hot wallet because it has records of depositing into several different CEX addresses, and was not funded by a CEX hot wallet. If you trace the funds further back using @ArkhamIntel (solana is now supported), you will find that this entity probably did a ton OTC transactions for millions of $ worth of SOL, including with Wintermute. and one of the wallets traced further back made deposits to a Coinbase Prime deposit address, which are only used by institutional entities. (prime.coinbase.com) Someone who is better at onchain sleuthing can correct me if I'm wrong, but I have reasonable confidence that the wallet Ah7...kzV is controlled by an institutional entity with at least $50m worth of SOL ready to deploy into trades. As of now this institutional entity is down horrendous, currently at ~2800 SOL of unrealized losses, with 0 tokens sold. As far as I can tell they have no other memecoin trading history on Solana. So why did this entity topblast millions of dollars into these 3 coins? This INSTITUTIONAL ENTITY knows something we don't. I refuse to believe that an institutional trader like this will hold and allow jeets to continue dumping on their heads. As far as this wallet continues to hold the 3 tokens without selling, I am giga bullish on all of them, $PNUT being the main one. When is the last time we saw an INSTITUTIONAL ENTITY execute large trades on fresh memecoins under 100m MC? The memecoin supercycle is very real and even institutional liquidity is coming in for a piece of the action.
