1-1 final score was probably a fair result. Standout performances from Shannon (up against the youth team again), Hay and Stuart, but it was Powell that got the plaudits with his energetic performance from full back, finishing the game in centre mid.

As SL tried to get back in to the game, the Bootle defence was resilient and kept them to half chances. Bootle were a threat on the break and Day Staff found himself with space, he picked out Tommy Rowe thundering in to the box to finish off a great move with a diving header 4-1
