@KuEnjiro The same process of approval also happens in JP, but it's less of an issue since they also have way more lead time to get it sorted out. Meanwhile, localization efforts have way more eyes it needs to go through, so they prob just wait for a big direct to bring everything together

@KuEnjiro I'm not saying the VA isn't finished. But you need people to play the game to get the footage. And then it needs to make the very convoluted process of getting approved by Nintendo JP. And trust me, it's needlessly convoluted.

I find Fire Emblem marketing so weird considering the reach it has as a series now, like why are gameplay clips and character bios still posted exclusively on the Japanese Twitter account? It’s not like Fortune’s Weave has an official webpage with all the news or anything either.

@RogersBase Definitely yeah, i have no idea where folks start caping for Zero over any other game in the franchise. At least I can point to some novelties in Command and Adventure that make em worthwhile experiences. Assault speaks for itself.

@BoredIndividual Oh Assault is ABSOLUTELY where the series started to plummet sales-wise, no debate there. But in terms of the quality of the release itself it is the difference between a Jack in the Box taco VS a quality street taco.

Star Fox Assault is LEAGUES better than Star Fox Zero and it's not even a debate. Orchestrated music, fantastic multiplayer, stunning visuals and a replayable campaign with fun dialogue VS bland visuals, no orchestrated soundtrack and bad controls. This is an objective fact.

Don’t care what anyone says: Star Fox Arventures, Star Fox Assault and Star Fox command was complete bullshit. I want Star Fox to continue with sequels, but those games suck. Star Fox has been poorly handled until Zero. Zero made them pay attention. No offense. My opinion

This really is gonna be the biggest challenge the internet will face because they have to 1: actually read that this is only for the EU 2: extrapolate that this is only because of the EU mandate that would force them to make a new Switch 1 model. Which would be wasteful.

Woods and Kofi knew this shit was fried btw. There’s a lot of long time vets that have seen the company around them morph, not loved what it’s become, and have actively questioned their place in the new landscape. There are wrestlers there that’d always seen themselves as lifers now coming to grips with the reality that that’s no longer likely, and are gearing up for the next step as it continues to become more and more plainly clear that WWE is no longer a wrestling company, for the wrestlers, for the boys.

Folks forget that the attitude towards rating a handheld game was vastly different than rating a console one. People are more scrutinizing when the experience is translated to the big screen, and you can argue that the gameplay was more palatable to these folks on handheld.

Always wild to see the Japan-US Splatoon fan disparity but as I mentioned in today's Direct reaction, I truly think a big part of it is the way they market Splatoon here. Ads never evolved from the Nickelodeon "You're a kid, you're a squid" aesthetic of those early commericals.
