This years @BornHax badge will focus on NFC, sporting an @NXP PN7150 on the reader badge and an NTAG I2C Plus on the tag badge. There is also a @Raspberry_Pi RP2040 for USB interface and application control

English

@Jackker22 @Hacksterio @BornHax @NXP @Raspberry_Pi The two badges can be used to explore the worlds of NFC, maybe even some impersonation/red team stuff

Added an AM transmitter to the badge!
Runs good enough to play both video and audio from flash at the same time.
Transmitter implemented with PIO.
(Sorry about the rain in the background, we’re taking cover atm)

@sparkfun has sponsored a bunch of #Qwiic boards, that will be available in the hardware hacking tent for you to play with and build something awesome with your badge. What would you like to make? #badgelife

English

The add-on boards screws onto the back of the badge with 4 small spacers and 8 screws (both will be available in the hardware hacking tent during camp). If you are quick, you can still design your own and have it for camp.

@highenergybeams @BornHax @PCBWayOfficial They are sponsoring this project and I asked if they could make a little video, as we are all curious, and they managed to fit that in. They also take detailed photos of front and back for verification of placement before the full run, but I'm sure that is normal for all PCBA
English

The @BornHax badges for this year is being assembled right now @PCBWayOfficial First solder paste is applied, then the panel pass through several pick and place machines and inspection stations #badgelife
English

@K4rm4ness We don't sell this years badges, but if there are leftovers after the event, we will bring some to other events that BornHack attends, like for instance 37c3.
English

@BornhackBadge if we are interested in buying a badge but cannot attend, what can we do?
English

The #bornhack badge has the standard SAO connector and if you need a bit of inspiration on creating your own SAO, maybe take a look @mrtwinkletwink he makes some great designs. Those add-ons will also fit the @MCH2022Camp badge #badgelife

English

@River___Wang @BornHax @Raspberry_Pi @CircuitPython That is prototyping area, where additional parts can be soldered on.
English

@BornhackBadge @BornHax @Raspberry_Pi @CircuitPython That's cool.
What is that shiny thing on the left?
English

This years @BornHax badge, will include a @Raspberry_Pi RP2040, color screen and buttons for a great homebrew handheld gaming experience. The badge will have @CircuitPython preloaded for easy hacking. See all the details at github.com/bornhack/badge…

English

For those of you that would like to add their own touch to the badge, we have prepared a template for add-on boards: github.com/bornhack/badge… and you can used code: PCBWayBornHack2022 @PCBWayOfficial for a discount on you PCB #badgelife

English

@klausagnoletti @BornHax The badge from the first year of BornHack used a different voltage level, so an electrical connection is non trivial, but mechanically it would be fairly simple to add the connector
English

@BornhackBadge @BornHax I assume there is no addon for year 0? 😎
English

If you have a badge from a previous year, bring it and you can use this years @BornHax badge as an addon #badgelife
