John Marck refused to answer Senator @ChrisCoons's question of whether President Trump is eligible to run for president in 2028. This isn’t a trick question – it's in the Constitution. If you can’t say a president can’t serve a third term, you shouldn’t be a federal judge. 🚩

@mgraham1967 @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons their different roles, and the greater number of people in each. You could probably find out by reading the debate around ratification. I don't care to do so, because it has no bearing on whether or not 22A is valid, which it is.

@mgraham1967 @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Because they didn't want to 🤷‍♂️ Being a bit more serious, probably because they felt there was a danger of concentrating too much power in one man, and term limits was a way to prevent this. They probably didn't have the same concerns for Congress and SCOTUS because of-

@Boscatoad @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Article 5 amendments, should not violate the original intent of the Constitution for ANY branch of Government, including term limits for SCOTUS or POTUS. The President serves at the will of the People, because he’s elected every 4 years, so no need for term limits. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Boscatoad @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons No term limits for the Executive, Judicial or Legislative Branch, because it was the “original “ intent of the Constitution or they would have written it in there. 🤷🏼‍♂️ If term limits are Constitutional, then it applies to all 3 branches, which would be fair. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Boscatoad @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Newsflash, Amendments CAN be repealed or removed, if SCOTUS decides that process violated ART 2’s provisions, so get used to it. The Constitution did not have term limits for ALL 3 Branches of government for a reason. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@mgraham1967 @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Congress didn't pass a law imposing term limits, they passed an Amendment. Which was then ratified by the states. Which is the process laid out in, wait for it... The Constitution 🤷‍♂️

@mgraham1967 @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Also, the 22nd Amendment only applies to the Presidency. Specifically, it mentions this. Honestly, all of this is laid out in the Constitution. Maybe consider reading it sometime? 🤷‍♂️

@mgraham1967 @GStanley1966 @AFJustice @ChrisCoons Nope. The Executive branch can enforce laws, it cannot create them. And since there is currently no law setting term limits on Congress, nor terms for the Judiciary at all, there is nothing for the Executive to enforce, meaning an EO wouldn't have any effect.
