Congrats to TCU, Texas, Wake Forest and Virginia on reaching the NCAA men’s tennis Final Four.

@CoachTimHall @ClayTravis No other reason, it sucked but it made the team better and it lit a fire under me to train even harder. Nobody should be turned away because of where they are from. Train harder, and let what needs to be done to make the team stronger. Simple as that.

Him and Pats resolution is to cut foreigners from programs which simply makes no sense since college is for everyone, not just Americans. I lost my spot to a foreigner, bc he was better.

Should US colleges have a minimum number of US born athletes on their teams receiving scholarships? Legit debate we should have. Look at men’s tennis numbers below, nearly 90% foreign born.

@ClayTravis Because college isn’t only for Americans. Yes it would be nice to have more American tennis players but the fact is we aren’t that good. Would you rather see more average Americans or more elite programs?

I’m hearing from more and more people on this issue. It’s across all Olympic college sports. Foreign countries don’t let American stars dominate their pro leagues — they all have limits on American players — why do we not do same for our scholarships?

As a “tennis father” who spent years traveling the southeast U.S. to take my son to tournaments, I’m disappointed that Arkansas is dropping its tennis program. But one look at the current roster explains why.

@Bosox808 @TomMarsLaw I played D-1 tennis back in the 80s, when we had local and regional studs who were legendary. Everybody came out to watch the matches. Nobody gives a shit about watching Dmitry from Slovenia or Arsène from Slovakia. Come on, dude, I lived it.
