I don't believe the #Lions 'window' is closed.
In theory: upgrade at OC, Shep takes a step forward as a DC, Dan goes to clock management camp, Branch and Joseph are healthy, Alim returns to form.
Sucks to lose Anzalone/Amik but the core is still here. Fix the culture.

@JimCosta_ More spacing today, theoretically beneficial to Duren on offense. The issue resides in having another non spacer in Ausar.
No, I don’t think Duren is an All-Defense guy and likely never will be
But also not writing off an All-NBA 22 year old from developing on Offense
English

@BosscherBen Very different NBA today with spacing
But let’s ignore that. Tell me you see multiple DPOY’s in his future. He was blocking 2x the shots of Duren

.@BosscherBen is correct here.
The Tigers always seem to do the most un-bold things they can, so I doubt significant lineup changes are coming. But they have multiple guys making themselves really easy to move on from.

WHOLESOME: When #Lions HC Dan Campbell met with World War 2 veterans on the sideline before the game and thanked them for their service.
Dan: “You don’t need to stand up for me. Sit down”
The veteran: “I JUST WANNA SEE HOW TALL YOU ARE”

@BosscherBen “Brilliant” managers don’t collapse historically like last year and preside over this debacle of a season. They get fired.

The Tigers lack a FU mentality. Group of down to earth guys. Totally fine when you’re winning. But when you’re losing, you need someone new to take it as unacceptable. The team will embrace that person if he’s vocal enough. Maybe it’s Skubal? But it’s not Hinch or Riley.

This is sticking in my mind. It's clearly a talent issue with the Tigers. But there may be some want-to issues there too. This could quickly spin into March Red Wings "too comfortable with losing" territory.
