In this important @acsJACS paper, @BMCSurgery SOAR fellows @KelseyRomatoski and @sophiechung91, et al. found that the pandemic has led to many patients harboring undiagnosed cancers & stress the importance of providers empowering patients to schedule cancer screenings. @The_BMC

Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS)@acsJACS

A JACS study found that screening cancer incidence rates decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic, suggesting many "missed" cancer diagnoses. This will lead to upstaging at diagnosis, delayed treatment, and worse outcomes. Read the full article at: journals.lww.com/journalacs/ful…
