@FKR102445 Does she have the same inquiry for every prosecutor in every high profile case that tries the case in the media, starting with the perp walk?

"Judges should keep in mind that it is one thing to dissect and scrutinize an officer's actions with the '20/20 vision of hindsight,' 'in the peace of a judge's chambers.' It is quite another to make 'split-second' judgments on the ground." (Justice Kavanaugh concurring in Barnes v Felix.) The Suffolk DA in the "peace" and safety of his of his office might want to keep this in mind as well.

@HanksSkid Yes. In fact, I tried a lengthy white-collar fraud case against Graham in 2024. It was my last jury trial before the first Karen Read trial.
He is an ethical prosecutor, a highly skilled trial lawyer and a gentleman. Much respect.

@BostonDefender you two ever go head to head?

So good. This woman offers an unsolicited opinion and then objects when someone replies with an opinion… because it was unsolicited. You can’t make this stuff up.
Here’s some unsolicited advice: go spend some time with your great husband. Here’s hoping that he can help you to be a happier person and relieve you of the need to vent your life’s frustrations on social media. I’ll be rooting for you.
English

@blogacide @BostonDefender Fuck off I didn’t ask for your opinion. The only great man I know and have in my life is my husband. Have no clue what man you are talking about.

My son Aaron recorded my acceptance speech last night. Please excuse the audio, as the 300+ people in attendance were all eating chicken dinners during the speeches.
Not my smoothest oration, but I am hoping my sincerity makes up for it. I had to channel Lou Gehrig … because I think I am the luckiest man on the face of the earth.

@MACrimeLawyer High praise, coming from you, Steve. Thank you, my friend.
English

@BostonDefender Well deserved. Both of you. Congratulations!!!!

@M77277777 Melissa! YOU are the best. During a very stressful time, you were a pleasant, calming and professional presence. We missed you during trial #2, but you can’t have everything in life. My best always to you and your family. 🙏

This is an excellent op-ed piece by our favorite learned retired Judge @TheCarolErskine regarding Boston Police Officer Nicholas O’Malley, who has been charged with manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Stephenson King, a suspect in a carjacking that had gone down in Roxbury, MA.
Judge Erskine, as usual, does a wonderful job of presenting the applicable Supreme Court case law that will be at the heart of the legal analysis in this case. @BostonDefender is representing Officer O’Malley, and we will be covering this case very closely on the Defense Diaries Podcast.

@TheCarolErskine Your Honor, you provide an important perspective here. My client, his family and his legal team truly appreciate your efforts to educate the public based upon your extensive knowledge and experience.
English

Thank you @BostonDefender for sharing my op-ed published today. While much of my writing focuses on child advocacy, this piece came from my work teaching constitutional law and the Supreme Court’s use-of-force framework in graduate criminal justice programs. I felt it was important to add a perspective grounded in the actual Fourth Amendment standards governing justification — something largely missing from the public discussion.

I forgot about this one. Thanks for posting it, Richie!

@1_and_only_Wade Good call. We had a lot of laughs despite the stress and chaos, Sir Thomas!
English

As fun as it is to dig through all the thousands of pages of emails from the CW of MA, MSP, and all the corrupt individuals scrambling along in a desperate (and ultimately FAILED) attempt to frame Karen Read for murder… Imagine how entertaining it would be to read the correspondences from the other side. I would have loved to be a fly in the wall listening & watching Alan Jackson, @BostonDefender, Liza Little, Bob Alessi, & Karen heading to and from court. Can you imagine the calls btw the Crash Daddies after the ham sandwich day? I’m not sure I can single out which text/email thread I would want to read the most! 😆
English

@Bogonya108 @wordsporn @bobalessi I, on the other hand, am human and will sometimes type, “if you asks him.” 😜
English

@Bogonya108 @wordsporn It most certainly is. @bobalessi is a true Renaissance Man. And the amazing thing is that if you asks him today, sight unseen, what he definition of “polymath” is, he would be able to tell you. 😊
