Absolutely. Its like when Superman in MOS shows anger at someone threatening his mother. Or when he is overwhelmed by the world and calls his mum for comfort. Both Donners and Snyders supes show such humanity.

You only have to see this scene to know the idea Donner’s Superman was god like is utter nonsense. He was very human. He ignores his Kryptonian father’s instructions to save the woman he loves. You don’t get more human.

And the consequences would have been had he ignored his dad? 17 year old Clark. Not ready for the world to know and the world not ready to know. How would this kid handle a wolrd that feared him? MOS and BvS showed how even an experienced Superman struggles. Haters gotta hate.
