Happy Anniversary to Breath of Fire IV on PS1! 🎂🎉 Released in North America in 2000, and still one of Capcom’s most underrated RPGs. The music, the art, the warmth mixed with darkness. It’s such a standout from the golden era of JRPGs.

@Sebbywebz @RevolvaOldman @SquareEnix Dude have you actually played the older games? I guarantee you with voice acting they would all sound cringe as hell. VIII especially, aside from the spin-offs it is the absolute cringiest final fantasy of them all. Rebirths combat is fucking incredibly well designed btw.

@RevolvaOldman @SquareEnix There’s a difference between the whimsical charm of Golden Age FFs, and the tone deaf cringe of FF15 & Rebirth. X is the last great FF, but it all started with the Tidus laugh

Dear @SquareEnix If you want Final Fantasy games to sell more again, you need to focus on the Original Fanbase (think FF4-10). Not the Modern Fans Modern Fans will excuse: a) Sluggish Pacing b) Tone-Deaf Cringe c) Mid-Tier Action Combat d) MMO Design in a Single Player Game Old School Fans & Normal Gamers do not excuse those things, nor do they have patience for them Modern Fans only have one standard: That the game is called "Final Fantasy". If you call it that, they will buy it. They will say "Turn Based Combat is dead" - but if FF17 was Turn Based, they will buy it in one second. Then they'll buy it again on PC the next year. They would have done the same for FF15, 16 and FF7R too If you make Final Fantasy for the OG fans, then: 1) The OG Fans will buy it 2) The Modern Fans will buy it 3) Normal Gamers will buy it Normal Gamers don't want a game that is "made for everyone". They want a game that understands its Core Audience, and specializes into that. You cannot make a Final Fantasy that will satisfy "both New fans and the Old". That is like trying to make food that will be loved by both Vegans and Carnivores. It cannot be done. A game for everyone is a game for no-one. Final Fantasy 4-10 is one of the best 10-year winning streaks in Video Game History. They weren't always perfect, but they are timeless classics with mainstream appeal. Modern Final Fantasy is neither of those things.

I was blessed to have this very special moment on stage with my mom, my daughters, and our aiga (family) — dancing our Samoan culture’s sacred dance, the Taualuga. It’s custom for Samoan men to take their shirts off to proudly show our Polynesian tatau (tattoo) and the intricate stories our ink tells. Also custom for Samoan women to lift their lava lavas up to proudly show their beautiful malu (tattoo) on their legs as well. I’m slapping the ground as a way to show my respect for how significant this is and how SACRED our ground becomes in this moment with our elders (and my daughters dancing next to me). It’s emotional. You can’t help but feel it. The mana. Life is busy for everyone - so special moments like this mean the world to me, to honor our family, our culture and always so good coming back home to Hawaii. Yesaah 🤙🏾 ❤️🌺🥃
