When I type, I use size 24-28 font so as not to strain my eyes when reading and proofreading. Only when I’m finished typing do I restore the font size to 12. Smaller font size, especially size 12, causes eye strain. The smaller the font, the more the eyes will strain and weaken. This plays a role in so many Americans having to wear prescription eyeglasses. Ancient civilizations and societies’ writing systems didn’t strain the eyes. They had no need for eyeglasses to do what the eyes were designed to do. Modern civilization is very harmful in numerous ways most people are unaware of or totally oblivious to. I’m not though. I see it very clearly.
