Happy Launch Day! Today is the day the samples from the @AlsalehAgingLab will be launched!

TONIGHT our “Aging Beyond Earth” organoids will be sent out to the ISS on the @SpaceX -31 shuttle at @NASA at Cape Canaveral 🚀🛰️☄️ The samples were SUCCESSFULY loaded into the IceCubes as you can see in the images below! Stay tuned for the updates on the launch this evening!

T- 1 day! The samples from the @AlsalehAgingLab are loaded to the ICE cube ready to be launched tomorrow with the Dragon CRS-2 SpX-31 mission here from the NASA launch pad at Cape Canaveral.

T - 2 days! We are very exited about the upcoming launch of samples from the @AlsalehAgingLab to the ISS! Dr Ghada Alsaleh's team is in the final stages of preparing the human joint cells for their send off to space to test the effects of microgravity on aging processes.

We were all very excited to see James Green in our lab in the UK before he heads back to the USA to the see the launch of our samples 🚀 What an honor! In the meantime 2 of our researchers are in the US taking care of the organoids that will be sent out on SpaceX-31 with NASA🌍

And the ADVENTURE begins 👩‍🚀 🧫 Soon our samples will be sent out to space with @NASA and @SpaceX and so to commemorate this occasion we want to share our wonderful logo for our “Aging in uG mission” 🚀 🛰️ 🔬 Stay tuned 👀 @BotnarOxford @ndorms @spacegovuk @esa @UniofOxford
