💥 Well, just about every city in Colorado is currently tying or breaking their existing record max temperature for the month of March. Boulder, Denver, Broomfield, DIA, Fort Collins, Pueblo, Greeley, Akron, CO Springs, Aspen, Leadville, Gunnison, Montrose, and Durango. The same is true across the entire West. Today's freshly minted records will get rebroken on Friday and then smashed again on Saturday. #COWX

Also worth noting that we will probably break a few record warm daily minimums (i.e. warmest overnight lows) during this stretch. All of those existing records are in the low to middle 50s.

A shocking amount of temperature records are set to be broken in Boulder over the next 8 days, including 7 daily record highs, the March monthly record, and possibly the earliest 90° reading, among others. The degree to which each will be obliterated is also astounding! 🤯 #COwx

Our hedge leaves started popping weeks ahead of schedule due to the warmth. Let's just say they don't appear to have liked the 17 degree temperatures we had Monday morning ... #cowx

@justbooket Yes, 2010-11 was also a terrible snow year down here. Mountains did OK, largely due to some MASSIVE dumps in April and May which fell as mostly rain in Denver.

❄️ 28.1" of snow in #Boulder so far this season which is 47% of the long-term normal. We're safe from being that worst snow season on record. That one remains 1981-82 at 20.8" which we already eclipsed back in January. #COWX #Boulderwx

@mewmewmew13 2017 had very little snow in the weeks leading up to this picture. And it was a warm month overall with fading La Niña, not unlike our current situation. Luckily the end of March-May was pretty wet and saved us that year. It seems unlikely that is how this spring will go...
