Our Volunteers are spending the day staffing at Co.39 and participating in multi level training. An Engine crew participated in a combined Volunteer/Career Battalion RIT drill, followed by in station skills training for newer members. @CityofBowie @PGVolFRA #answerthecall

Seven Bowie Volunteer Fire Department members took time out this morning to present a wreath at the Annual Memorial Day program in Old Town. Our Volunteers look forward to the opportunity to honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. @CityofBowie

Wednesday night at Station 43 means it’s time for CPR training. A combined class of new firefighters/EMT recruits, medical staffers and citizens. The Bowie Volunteer Fire Department has long been a major provider of lifesaving CPR training within @CityofBowie

Outcomes go beyond vital signs. They mean families reunited, communities feeling safer, & people returning home. This week, we recognize the people behind the patch. Support EMS clinicians and the communities they serve. Together, we improve outcomes.

Our members were proud to assist with welcoming the Annual Police Unity Bike Tour to @CityofBowie and Prince George's County this morning. We enjoyed working with PGFD Command Staff and the Career/Volunteer crew from @DaleVolunteers Station 818 to support the annual event.

Tuesday evening drill this evening was focused on portable radio operation and Engine Company ladders. New Volunteers are taught all aspects of firefighting in small groups to help them grow. @CityofBowie

We had 8 Bowie VFD members representing our Department and participating in the monthly Pgcvfra - Prince George's County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association meeting at Greenbelt VFD this evening.
