@nicole_rifkin I agree in part, but there are actually a surprising amount of instruments that I think have a similar, or even lower, dexterity barrier to entry. Synthesizers for instance have quite a bit of automation available for someone who can't hit a lot of keys quickly.

@Romulus_Himself I agree it's fun to do motion inputs, maybe not the most fun aspect of FGs to me, but still. Luckily the vast majority of FGs that already exist use motion inputs and I don't have to stop playing them.

@bum163 I mean yea that'd be bad design, but there's not really a game out there that doesn't penalize simple inputs in some way when they're alongside motion inputs.

@BoxFanHero .....if motion inputs exist along side easy input...but easy input has no penalties....

So 3 of the 4 games here is going down the EASY INPUTS ONLY ROUTE aka no motion inputs at all [HxH, 2XKO and now Invincible vs].
I legit hate that we finally get tag based fighters and 3 of the 4 decided to go down this route SMH.
My interest has gone down...way down 😔

@bum163 Ok but "too strong" is entirely contextualized within the individual game. If the game is built and balanced from the ground up with simple inputs in mind, then there's less friction there, especially if there's no motion inputs at all.

@BoxFanHero I'm not saying to not have easy inputs.
I want both and we should have both.
But easy inputs should come with penalties for sure or else it just becomes too strong and there is no point in using motion inputs.
