Almost punched a car hire clerk at Bordeaux airport today when he said I was late collecting the car. I was late because I’d been stuck in the car hire queue for an hour. Never, ever use Rentscape in France.

Rental car companies seem so insanely helpless at their one job. You show up at the airport, reservation in hand, and they’re like “wait really? You wanted a car? Sorry, you totally caught me off guard.”

@gibberingphil @AlanMCole This was what happened to my car which i hired from Rentscape Bordeaux Airport. I had my 3 children with me on the motor way and flames coming out of the bonnet. Rentscape didn't respond to me for over 24 hours. And they asked me to travel 180km by taxi to pick up a new car
