When Brady signed with Tampa Bay, yes he was in a much better situation than he was in New England in 2019.
Mike Evans and Godwin alone was better than anything NE had. He had BA, who’s had success with Big Ben, Luck etc.
We knew Brady was going to have a good year on a statical level. Because the year prior he had a solid year with the garbage he had in NE.
But what we arnt going to do is act like they were immediately world beaters. It wasn’t until they blew the chiefs out that people started pushing the “super team” narrative.

In five seasons as the Bucs QB,Jameis only had one winning season. His last three years he was 17-33. Again, nobody had Tampa Bay has legitimate contenders. People thought Brady fell off after 2019. People legitimately thought he was going to have a career high in Ints in BAs system.

@BoxingLCN You are fucking high. Jameis just threw for 5000 yards on a 30/30 season and missed the playoffs on the final two games because of Jameis' play alone. Go look at the 2019 Bucs roster up and down. Just because they were ranked low doesn't mean it was a bad roster void of talent

They lost the last two cause Jameis had 6 TOs. That still doesn’t change the original point. You, me nobody had Tampa has a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Nobody thought Gronk would still be productive. Nobody thought Lenny would be productive.

@BoxingLCN @JBye33 The defense started playing better the back half of 2019, which is part of the reason they went 5-3 the backhalf of the season (2 games played without Evans and Godwin). This goes back to the point; if you watched the games, you would know Brady had nothing to do with the defense

Bucs weren’t a championship caliber team pre Brady.
From 07-19 the Bucs only had three winning seasons. In ten full seasons without Brady, Bill only has three winning seasons and only one playoff win.

@JBye33 Nobody had the Bucs as serious contenders. People push this narrative because of how the season played out. Gronk came out of retirement, people had questions about the oline and the defenses was ranked at the bottom of the league.
