Serious consequences like Adult Time are needed to tackle violent crime, but we've also started the Violence Reduction Unit to stop crime before it starts. A Violence Reduction Unit focused on mentoring and prevention saw violent knife crime fall 28 per cent in London. Serious consequences and early interventions. It shouldn't be about one or the other - we're doing both.
