I know I am not the demographic this film is catered to but #TheDevilWearsPrada2 was just so devoid of life and personality, something abundantly present in the 2006 film! A bland, cameo heavy, luxury product sponsored screenplay that is heavily reliant on nostalgia. Meryl Streep & Stanley Tucci were brilliant but... Anne Hathaway & Emily Blunt were such caricatures, lacking any evolution from how they were 20 years ago. The romantic sub plots were so lifeless. The acting performances (especially Anne) were so phoned in! It does not even address the ramifications of AI & Tiktok ruining traditional forms of media & journalism properly Even in a packed hall with stans, I could not help but feel that it just did not capture the euphoria one anticipated from this reunion
