i mean i dont think its the best but i still really like it. then again, i have found out that most of my opinions on D2 activity's will get me publicly waterboarded. my favorite exotic mission is zero hour btw so do with that what you will.

People are saying this conflicts with the version of oryx we saw in Heresy’s ending, but I like the idea of oryx as a figure navigating a world that has outlasted him. A conclusion to his arc that has him trying to find a new place in the world rather than leave it feels cool

@Caughtinitsmaw One other thing, because I thought this point was interesting: oryx often doesn’t act in line with what he says he believes, like when he sought vengeance for Crota’s death. I think that cognitive dissonance is part of the point of his character.

@BoycottSonyNow The Books of Sorrow also show that Oryx did not care about Taox by the time Crota was born. As the Echo didn’t understand why the real Oryx seeked revenge for the death of Crota, the Echo likely wouldn’t care to hunt Taox for revenge, as it betrays the Sword Logic.

Here's a concept for a Destiny 3 set after Heresy I wrote last year. The Taox stuff in the MoT lore makes me feel like we would've gotten this eventually.

I see your point and wrote out a response thread. Other things I’d add:
-these krill are meant to be descendants of those from the Osmium era
-this is an alternate universe to the Fate Saga we got, so MoT lore doesn’t apply

@BoycottSonyNow The Proto-Hive Krill had a lifespan of about 6 years, with the Osmium King living 10 and going senile before his assassination. Even if Taox is alive, any Krill outside of the Hive that lived during the assassination would have died naturally billions of years ago.

Oryx is my favorite character in the game. I think that the direction heresy’s ending took him is cool, but that my version is also interesting it its own right. That discrepancy means he’s a complicated enough character to mean different things to different people, which is good
