Kindergartners learned 2 ways to read a book (read the pictures & read the words) to build their reading stamina. They increased by 12 minutes today! @S8_Belleville @BpsCoaches #readingstamina

Kindergartners @S8_Belleville learned the sounds for the letters: J & Qu during Readers Workshop today. Students are seen here actively participating by "jumping" every time they heard the word "jump" w/ the /j/ sound in the song "Everybody Jump!" @Bpscoaches

Kindergartners @S8_Belleville looked for words during Independent Reading that had the /j/ and /kw/ sounds. Students were great reading detectives & found words in their books that began w/ the letters J &/or Qu such as "jumping" and "quack"! @Bpscoaches

The Instructional Coaches were so excited to present this workshop today to help support our non tenure staff with integrating discussion techniques!
